**Thanks to the Matanuska-Susitna Legislators, including Representative Carl Gatto; Representative Bill Stolze; Senator Charlie Huggins; Senator Linda Menard; Representative Wes Keller; Representative Mark Neuman; Senator John CoghillRepresenatative JohnHarris; and Former Senator Lyda Green; the Mat-Su Health Foundation and the City of Palmer; the Dream of a new Palmer Senior Citizens Center facility is coming to fruition!  Additionally, the Palmer Senior Center membership has worked hard to raise funds to complete the necessary funding for the new facility.
 
The new facility is in the process of construction and is expected to be open in August or September 2011! 
 
The new facility will be located at 1132 S. Chugach Street in Palmer.  Directly across the street from the Palmer Junior Middle School.  Come on by and see the new facility!  
 
Please, be sure to thank our local legislators, city council, the Mat-Su Health Foundation Staff and Board and Governor Sean Parnell, Former Governor Sarah Palin; Former Governor Frank Murkowski; and Former Senator Lyda Green for all of their hard work on behalf of Mat-Su seniors!
 
**The Palmer Senior Citizens Center, Inc. and the City of Palmer Department of Emergency Services have partnered to bring the community personal emergency response system that will contact the Palmer Emergency Dispatch directly to access emergency services in an expedited manner.  Please contact the administrative office at 745-5454 for more information on the Helping Elders Living-alone Project a.k.a. HELP program.
 
**The Palmer Senior Citizens Center, Inc. is now the host agency for the Santa Cop Program.  For information, please call the center at 745-5454.
 
**The Palmer Senior Citizens Center, Inc. announces the Better Choices, Better Health: a Chronic Disease Self-Management Program to the Matanuska-Susitna Borough.  This program is for individuals of all ages.  Please contact the center at 745-5454 for more information.

PSCC is certified by the State of Alaska to provide meals under the Medicaid Waiver (CHOICES) program.
